Human Limitations Chapter 1

I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations.

– Romans 6:19a(NIV)

How often does any of these following questions cross your mind :

“Why do others just cannot understand what I’m trying to tell them?!”

“I was there, I saw it all, just like the others did, yet they are telling a whole other story! Why are they lying?”

“How is this possible? I just don’t get it!”

Have you ever considered someone else being stupid?

How often do you recognize your own stupidity?

We have many limitations and each individual has varying degree of it. Our limits dictates our communication effectiveness, perception of reality, and ability to learn. I distilled down our limitations into three categories, intelligence, wisdom and anatomy.

Our foundational understanding of the reality ultimately stems from our human experience as a whole. Thus we apply our own limitations as the baseline to relatively gauge everything else in life. The substantive predicament emerges when one or more of our restraints precipitates insufficient comprehension to the magnitude that we are incapable of even recognizing our own inadequacies. To put it in plain words, sometimes we are too stupid to know that we are stupid.

As long as we depend solely on our own abilities in this life, disappointments are inevitable when our constraints are reached. By the end of this series, I will provide the evidences as to why God is our only salvation.
