Human Limitations Chapter 6

Wisdom – Faith/Spiritual

Faith :

Do you consider yourself as a person of faith? If the answer is no, than I really don’t know how you are still alive reading this article and not too busy having a sever panic attacks.

Do you consistently worry about the collapse of the chair you sit on?

Do you carefully take every step because you never know when the ground will split open and swallow you whole?

When you drive or ride in a vehicle, do you become extremely anxious whenever the opposite direction traffic passes near you?

The less faith you have, the more unease and fear you will experience.

Faith can be placed in multitude of subjects, such as religions, ideologies, mortals, inanimate objects. Some are more fallible than others. When faith is in question, whether due to false promises or any deviation from expectations, doubt will fester thus often negatively impact your future decisions.

Faith can not be rationalized, it has to be true to your heart. If you are without faith, even if you keep telling yourself all day that you do, your subconscious will prove you wrong with anxiety every single time.

Are you in constant struggle between faith and doubt? Most people certainly are, but even admitting it is difficult. We humans tend to avoid pain whenever possible, if lying to ourselves will temporarily reduce the pain we perceive, most of us will, even involuntarily on occasion. The struggle itself is the limitation of human faith.

Spiritual :

There is a insatiable cravings, a endless hunger deep down in you. You feel like you just need another drink, and you’ll be satisfied. Just another one night stand, than you will feel fulfilled. Just a thousand more likes, so you may finally be a social media sensation.

Your favorite tunes, music, effortlessly steers your emotions from one state to another. It almost seems like it’s out of your control.

Your dreams haunts you. Every night is another night of restless sleep.

All the above are relevant to your spiritual well being. Spiritual wisdom encompasses subconscious, emotional capabilities and other experiences that are unable to be sufficiently described by words. Spiritual reality is experienced through your subconscious. Your spiritual self solely exist in the present, now. You may attempt to suppress, ignore, or even rationalize your subconscious, but only to discover the futility of your external efforts, for your subconscious will express itself without alteration. All kinds of emotions serves as a constant reminder of your true belief, not what you think you believe.

Music, light patterns, and other sensory stimulants can effectively sway your subconscious mind even without your conscious consent, so be cautious of what you subject yourself to.

Ultimately, we are slaves. But we get to choose our master. Are you a slave of your own flesh? or do you receive the Holy Spirit and be a slave of God?

“Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”

– Romans 8:5-6(NIV)

Human spiritual limitation is our inability to grasp the full extent of our own soul and spirit.

This chapter is the most difficult one for me to express with words. Are my elaborations in the chapter sufficient for you? Let me know in the comments down below!
